I am not at all sure what I am doing here-but here goes. I have been doing some reading from two of the books that were given to us at the SI. I really, really enjoy the one about writing, the one that is for teachers of older students. However, I have also had some eye-opening experiences with the wiki, blog and podcasts book. I always felt that the computer would open up the world for people, but I never realized that it could create such an audience for student’s work. I would have given anything to have had the chance to publish my work for others to comment on, when I was younger. Of course I can do it now, but my creative juices are at a standstill at present. I am hoping that the sharing that we do when we are together will once again light the fires of communication for me. As I mentioned earlier, this is the second time for me with the MUWP. My first session was back in 1998. I was nearing the end of a bad relationship with my first husband and the fellows at SI became my best friends, my therapists, they allowed me to bring out what I needed to say, to myself, as well as to others. Well, how is that for a mouthful? Anyhow, I will continue to read and hopefully gather more research for my presentation, which is starting to make me a little nervous. The first ones were so wonderful. So enlightening and professional. Once again. Good Job Gals! Gotta go now. I will check in a little later.
